The workshop took place in The Hague, at Oxfam Novib's headquarters. The main objective was to become familiar with the basic principles of ChatGPT and to gain insight into its practical applicability. The workshop attracted a diverse group of participants. They had all kinds of different backgrounds and experiences, from content creators, press officers to image editors.
As a result, the workshop began by providing the necessary knowledge. What exactly is ChatGPT? And, how exactly does it work? Participants were taken through a number of examples. From those examples, they learned a "How to" method with accompanying tips and tricks.

After absorbing knowledge, participants were put to work themselves. In pairs they were allowed to turn a random Oxfam Novib press release into a shorter news article. This, of course, using ChatGPT as a tool.
During the exercises, all kinds of conversations arose which brought an interactive atmosphere. Because of the many questions and comments, it became an educational inspiring afternoon.
impact and results of using Artificial Intelligence
The workshop allowed Oxfam Novib to learn their way around ChatGPT. They now know how to write a good prompt, what to look out for and how to apply the features within their work. They even came up with ideas to set up a joint account for different purposes.
This project shows that an interactive workshop for AI and communication works incredibly well. In fact, the interaction made for an educational, inspiring and enlightening morning.
