MyWheels: an ambitious and young start-up/scale-up in the car share space. At the start of the partnership, MyWheels' ambition was to strengthen their position in the mobility market. From the beginning, their goal was to make a difference in the way people think about and act on mobility. But while their vision was strong, their voice was not yet sufficiently audible in the crowded media landscape.

MyWheels faced several challenges. For example, they wanted more visibility and to increase their credibility by having a more frequent media presence on relevant topics. In addition, they lacked a network to communicate newsworthy business developments to the media, MyWheels' director did not have enough of a platform to position themselves as influential and only competitor's shared cars were included in journalistic image databases.

Nxt agency developed and implemented a comprehensive public relations strategy after a brainstorming and piloting process:

- Positioning in the Media: We successfully pitched the director of MyWheels as an expert in the media, such as BNR, NRC & FD giving MyWheels a face and a voice in the media landscape.

- Announcement of Acquisitions: We effectively communicated the news surrounding the acquisitions of Amber and Connectcar, which strengthened MyWheels' position as market leader. For example, these acquisitions were communicated in the Ondernemer, on BNR and in the Algemeen Dagblad, among others.

- Local Media Strategy: In local and regional expansions, we provided coverage in local media, creating direct awareness and engagement in the respective regions.

- Photo banks: We contacted several journalistic image banks and pitched MyWheels here in terms of shared cars and electric diesel cars. This resulted in MyWheels being included in key photo banks and photos of MyWheels' shared cars being used in articles that deal with shared transportation, even if they themselves are not mentioned in them.

- Media inquiries: By structurally pitching MyWheels and sending out press releases, MyWheels came into focus with relevant media,. As a result, MyWheels itself increasingly received direct media requests.

Thanks to our nxt level partnership, MyWheels has undergone a transformation from a start-up to thought leader in the car-sharing market. In the car-sharing industry, MyWheels is now the largest provider in the Netherlands, its visibility in the media has increased exponentially. MyWheels is in the spotlight and known as an expert, frequently invited to comment in the media.
