MyWheels: an ambitious and young start-up/scale-up in the car-sharing sector. At the start of the collaboration, MyWheels had the ambition to strengthen their position in the mobility market. From the start, they have set the goal to make a difference in how people think about mobility and take action on it. But although their vision was strong, their voice was not yet sufficiently audible in the crowded media landscape.

MyWheels faced various challenges. For example, they wanted to increase their visibility and credibility by being more present in the media on relevant themes. In addition, they lacked a network to communicate newsworthy business developments with the media, MyWheels CEO did not have enough a platform to position herself as influential, and only competitors' shared cars were included in journalistic image banks.

After a brainstorm and pilot process, Nxt agency developed and implemented an extensive PR strategy:

• Media positioning: We successfully pitched the director of MyWheels as a media expert, such as BNR, NRC & FD which gave MyWheels a face in the media landscape.

• Announcement of Acquisitions: We effectively communicated the news about the Amber and Connectcar acquisitions, reinforcing MyWheels' position as market leader. For example, these acquisitions were communicated in, among others. the Entrepreneur, on BNR and in the Algemeen Dagblad

• Local Media Strategy: In local and regional expansions, we brought attention to local media, creating immediate awareness and engagement in the regions concerned.

• Photo banks: We contacted several journalistic image banks and pitched MyWheels here about car sharing and electric diesel cars. This has ensured that MyWheels was included in major photo banks and that photos of the MyWheels shared cars are used in articles about shared transport, even if they are not mentioned in them themselves.

• Media requests: By structurally pitching MyWheels and sending out press releases, MyWheels came into the picture of relevant media,. As a result, MyWheels itself increasingly received direct media requests.

Thanks to our next-level partnership, MyWheels has undergone a transformation from a start-up company to the thought leader in the car-sharing market. In the car-share industry, MyWheels is now the largest provider in the Netherlands; media visibility has increased exponentially.
