Since March 2022, nxt agency has been collaborating with The Sharing group (TSG). TSG's broad portfolio of brands (including MyWheels, MijnDomein and EnergyZero) means that the right PR strategy for each brand and as an organization as a whole is essential. Joost van Rooij, head of Marketing at TSG, talks about the collaboration with nxt agency and what challenges are being addressed in the collaboration.

about The Sharing Group

TSG is a collective of different people, brands and investors with the same mission: more social impact, less impact on the environment. The organization is convinced that doing business must be different. TSG believes that doing business starts with social impact. “At The Sharing Group, we have many different brands. All these brands have one thing in common: they want to emphasize the power of sharing. But despite the fact that all these brands have this in common, they are also very different from each other. Each brand operates in its own segment and developments per segment and brand are very different. So how do we ensure that we have the right media inputs for our brands, both business and private, to convey our messages? We could use help with that,” Joost shares.

TSG is constantly looking for partners to help spread its message and that of its brands. “We have worked with varying degrees of success with other parties in various areas. We also try to gain knowledge from partners and take over things ourselves. On the PR front, however, we still needed more help. Nxt agency offers us that help. Together, we work on the newsworthiness of a message, and determine which channels the message should be spread on and which communication strategy fits a message or campaign.” For example, nxt agency has provided PR campaigns for various TSG brands, such as MyWheels, EnergyZero and Dotlocal.

The collaboration has brought a lot so far, says Joost. “With the help of nxt agency, we really accelerated our professionalization and boosted our PR. Both as a group and as separate brands, we know how to find the right press more easily and, as I said, faster. We achieve a high reach and get more out of our PR efforts. Moreover, nxt agency is an enthusiastic and energetic club, and we are constantly exploring how we can work even better together, for example when we involve multiple parties in PR activities,” concludes Joost.

In the project to announce a takeover/merger for MyWheels, The Sharing Group and nxt agency sat down together to reach different target groups in the media. More than 80 different placements have been achieved for the various brands in national, professional and regional media, such as articles in the Algemeen Dagblad, Eindhovens Dagblad, Financieele Dagblad, Business Insider, the Entrepreneur and bee BNR News Radio. In total, the collaboration has reached at least 30 million readers, viewers and listeners so far. This is how the takeover has become known to a large audience.
